Bob Hastings—SETSC PresidentEmail

Mr. Hastings is the President of Hastings Investigations & Consulting specializing in cargo theft investigations and training for the insurance, trucking and logistics industries for the past 13 years. Mr. Hastings has been an active member of the Southeast Transportation Security Council since its inception in 2002 and Mr. Hastings holds the current title of President on the Board of the SETSC.

He has 30 years of investigative experience, starting his career with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation in 1985 and then transitioning into the corporate security arena by holding investigative management positions with one trucking company and two retail corporations in both Ohio and Georgia with primary focus on internal and external theft issues.

As a graduate of Kennesaw State University, Angela was equipped with the skills needed to work in many industries. Angela’s background has consisted of 16+ years in Retail Sales and Debt Consolidation within the Mortgage Industry prior to moving into the Transportation Industry. Eleven years ago, she joined the U.S. Xpress Logistics Team.

In her current position, she serves as the Compliance Supervisor within U. S. Xpress Enterprises’ 3PL Group. For the past 11 years, she has created/implemented new policies and procedures to ensure the safety and protection of the company. She is also on the leading edge of new technologies and how they can be used to mitigate risk within the organization. She oversees the monitoring of all 3rd Party Carriers making sure they meet government standards and business requirements. During her time with U.S. Xpress Logistics, Angela has also assisted with on-boarding of carrier completions, 3PL cargo claims review, and oversees vendor creation and maintenance of all outside carrier payment issues.

Coyote, A UPS company, offers truckload, less-than-truckload, intermodal, and cross-border brokerage and transportation management to more than 14,000 shippers in all industries and of all sizes, from local shops and businesses to Fortune 100 companies and Global enterprises. As Cargo Security Manager for Coyote Logistics, Jerry Jacobs has the overall responsibility for establishing and implementing preventative security measures for over 9000 loads a day. Additionally, Jerry’s responsibilities include; nationwide theft and fraud investigations, law enforcement liaison, operations, freight claims, loss prevention, personnel, and operations.

Jerry has over 15 years of experience in customer service, 10 years of experience in transportation, and 7 years of experience in Cargo Security. Jerry started as a Driver Services Represented at Coyote in 2011. Jerry worked his way up through the ranks, becoming an Operations Manager in 2012. In 2013, Jerry was promoted onto the Issue Resolution team at Coyote. When Coyote was acquired by UPS in 2015, Jerry’s role expanded into Cargo Security where he’s served ever since. During his seven-year tenure at Coyote, Jerry worked closely with law enforcement and cargo security councils, including being a member of SETSC. Due to Jerry’s role and commitment to Cargo Security, Coyote earned the “Best in Cargo Security” award from CargoNet 3 out of the last 4 years.

Jerry attended Kennesaw State University and Georgia State University for his bachelor’s degree in History.

Jac Greenlee has years of experience in the supply chain tracking/visibility world. Jac is currently Vice President of Business Development with Shadowtrack247 and has held prior positions as Vice President, LoJack SCI and Sr. Business Development Manager, LoJack Corporation.

Jac is known throughout the industry as one of the first to create the concept of using technology along with intelligence to provide a proactive risk base approach to supply chain security. This concept would use an embedded tracking device, a 24/7/365 supply chain monitoring center, a Law Enforcement Data base, a Supply Chain Information Sharing and Analysis Center for actionable intelligence that would provide a process to support the freight security requirements of manufacturers, shippers and logistic providers. Jac has worked with some of the largest and best named companies in the world to secure their supply chains.

Douglas “DZ” Patterson serves as Vice President of SETSC since being elected to the term beginning in 2012. DZ is the National Director of the Travelers Insurance Specialty Investigations Group (SIG), a unit in Travelers Investigative Services.

SIG specializes in the investigation of losses, both national and international, involving all aspects of the supply chain and in providing theft prevention assessments that enable insured supply chain providers opportunities to harden their targets with industry standard procedures and controls.
