Arrest Made in 4/15/17 Cargo Theft of 272 Truck Tires in Garden City, GA
On Friday, 6/30/17 Suspect, Karl Anthony McDonald was arrested in Garden City, GA by the GBI Major Theft Unit and the Garden City Police Department charging McDonald with Cargo Theft 16-8- 22 and Theft by Taking of a 2007 Volvo Tractor stemming from the theft of a full container load of 272 Cooper / Roadmaster Truck Tires valued at $69,000.00. This investigation began shortly after the 4/15/17 theft by the GBI Major Theft Unit, Garden City Police Department and a Private Sector Cargo Theft Investigator with many leads and interviews being pursued throughout the Investigation. This is another collaborated effort between the Private Sector and Local and State Law Enforcement working together to combat Cargo Theft in the State of Georgia. The investigation will remain open and active.
